ABOUT US

OUR BELIEF
Create, Connect, and Lift Each Other Up
BEWM Coffee grew out of Austin's street art scene, where collaboration, mutual support, and shared values matter as much as the work itself. After losing a young artist, BEWM, the community rallied around a simple question: What would it look like to build something that truly supports artists, strengthens community, and helps young creatives feel less alone?
BEWM Coffee is one answer to that question.
Through our partnership with Something Good Initiative — a 501(c)(3) artist-led nonprofit — a portion of every purchase funds programs supporting artists, young people, and mental health awareness. The name BEWM comes from a young street artist whose spirit and creativity inspired everything we do. His life ended too soon, but his belief in art, community, and creative expression lives on in this brand.
Farmers First
BEWM partners with roasters who support smallholder farmers through above-Fair Trade compensation and pre-harvest financing. Every cup supports people at both ends of the chain.
Artist to Artist
Rather than spending on large platform advertising, BEWM invests directly in the artists and creative communities that make this project possible. BEWM grows the same way street art always has — artist to artist, wall to wall, person to person. Those dollars belong with the artists, not the platforms.
How We Do It
Three ways we give backBEWM For the People
Our annual event brings mental health and suicide awareness into the open — using interactive art and community connection to reduce stigma and remind people they're not alone. Creativity, conversation, and community help people stay connected and keep moving forward.
Sketchy Thursdays
Every Thursday night at Something Cool Studios. A free, inclusive weekly art meetup led by Austin street artist Warclass — built to give young creatives a welcoming space to draw together, share ideas, and feel encouraged to create. BEWM helps fund it, and Something Good Initiative runs it.
Local Org Deliveries
Long before BEWM launched publicly, the team was quietly delivering thousands of pounds of coffee to Austin nonprofits. Those monthly deliveries continue today — because coffee has always been about how people gather, connect, and care for one another.
Sketchy Thursdays
Launched January 2026. Created to build community and support young artists, Sketchy Thursdays offers a welcoming space where creatives can draw together, share ideas, and connect — without pressure or expectation.
The idea is simple: show up as you are, meet other creatives, and feel encouraged to create. It's a community that says yes to creativity, vulnerability, and courage.
BEWM Coffee helps fund the program, which allows Something Good Initiative to ensure these weekly meetups remain free and accessible — especially for young artists.
